By Matt Anderson Collects Avengers World issues #10-16Most of the collection is a continuation of the story started in the previous volumes, but the final two issues (#15-16) tell a story about Dr. Doom. This Doom story spins directly out of the 2014 event, "Axis," so I wouldn't recommend reading this before "Axis" unless you don't mind being spoiled.Most of this book felt like the writer was spinning his wheels. Two new super teams debuted in Volume 2 of this series. Now that I've had a chance to see them more, I can confidently say that the Ascendant is cool, but Euroforce is boring. Each of these teams were given origin story issues in this collection, and it is clear that the writer prefers the Ascendant. I found them to be a lot more interesting and a lot better developed.The art is sometimes great in this book, and sometimes off.Having read a lot of the other Avengers titles (specifically the ones by Hickman and Remender) this book comes off as the weakest Avengers book. The main characters tend to come off as B-level heroes, and when the main heroes of the Marvel Universe do appear in this volume, it feels more like a cameo.
