About the Author Dan Abnett lives and works in Maidstone, Kent. After graduating from Oxford, he worked for a while as an editor of comics and children's books before turning to writing full time. In the dozen or so years since then, he has written for such a diverse range of characters--including Scooby Doo, Thunderbirds, Conan the Barbarian, The X-Men, Johnny Bravo, Batman, Rupert the Bear, Dr Who, Mr. Men, The Terminator and Postman Pat--that he is now clinically bewildered. He created the popular series Sinister Dexter, which he continues to write, along with other strips, for 2000 A.D., and has recently helped rejuvenate RESURRECTION MAN for DC Comics.

The Story of Eternia By Ghanima In this volume the fight against the Horde seems hopeless, until King Randor makes a radical decision to try and revive the Sorceress.Together Randor, Adam, Teela, Stratos, Moss Man and Battle Cat must fight their way through the rings of the Underworld to get to the heart of Eternia. Their success comes at a high price to Adam.The Story is good, but the illustrations of the first two parts of the book are awful, they're not neat and well colored, this detracts the quality of the book. And when the artist changes and you finally begin to enjoy the book it's finished. If you're a fan bear with the first 2/3 of the book and enjoy the rest.
3 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Bring back the cartoon! By Sam Fett Picks up right where the crossover leaves off. I started reading this series out of pure nostalgia from my childhood. Watching Heman in the afternoons after school was part of my after school activities. Every time a new TPB comes out I think this is my last one but by the end of the collection I am pulled back into the story and anticipating the next issue. This one starts off weak due to the progression of the story. It seems to not really get anywhere and after the second issue in the collection the authors seem to realize this and rush ahead. An example: three of the masters are in danger and by the third issue they show up in the first panel in a ship they somehow got and then explain in a brief few panels. By this point I was unable to put it down. One thing I like about this series is they are not afraid to kill anyone so you don't know what to expect collection to collection. Though the stories could be better thought out and the character development needs a little work especially Heman himself it is a very engaging series that I will continue to buy. At least it makes me feel like a kid again watching my favorite afternoon cartoon.
