About the Author From the age of six, Michael Andrews loved the toy business. His first job was delivering doll parts in NYC for his mother’s doll company. He grew up (in a way...) into a designer, gizmo-maker and sculptor and moved to Los Angeles, the capital of cool. After many years designing toys for THAT large company, he broke free with a great idea and a portfolio filled with dog drawings. With help from family, friends and writing partner Lisa Sirlin Hall, Mike created a loving homage to his three Dachshunds: The Adventures of László & Zazie. Los Angeles native Lisa Sirlin Hall grew up in warm Southern California weather amidst eclectic culture, architecture and design. After studying communication arts at Otis College of Art and Design, she embarked on a creative career as a children's digital entertainment producer and a writer for THAT large streaming network. Lisa lives in Los Angeles with her husband Tracy and thinks dogs are fantastic ...especially when they drink cocktails. Her next writing project with Mike focuses on her own three trouble-prone cats who seriously lack social skills.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. 3 Doxies = Tons Of Fun! By ecurb I had a great time reading this. The witty combination of historical and futuristic makes for a rollicking good adventure. The writing is sharp and humorous, with a bunch of fun references (and some valuable drink recipes – especially the Tolstoy Tang!). The illustrations are amazing! I felt like a kid in the best of ways – inspecting every inch of the drawings to make sure I didn't miss a thing. The three Dachshunds – László, Zazie, and Scrapple – are the ultimate protagonists! By the end, it's clear that the authors are working up future Doxie exploits. Pour me a Martini! I'll be along for the ride!

Not really for the kiddies, Mike's delightful illustrations are the highlight of this book, based on the real life adventures of his frenetic Doxies. Hopefully, this is the first in a whole series of sirius adventures for these Kool Kat Kanines!
