1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. This book covers some basic sports psychology principals but translation issues mar the overall quality of the book By Scott D. Rushing This book is not very well written in my opinion. A huge distraction for me is in the language used. Perhaps there was a poor translation done to the digital version (which is what I purchased) but the digital version is full of broken sentences and poor grammar such as "Close your eye and float of your body" or "I work a lot of businesses and athletes...". If you can get past the grammar related issues, which are distracting, the principles presented by the author are fairly basic and I don't agree with his assessment that "if you take the same actions as someone succeeding, you will get the same results". I think recognizing the successful characteristics of someone who has had success is a tool that can help someone want to improve their performance, but just because you take the same steps they take doesn't mean you will achieve the same results.They author does stress to not focus on what you don't want to have happen because it creates a negativity and a focus on what we don't want to happen, and he stressed having a positive attitude and controlling your physical body with breathing and tension. So he does discuss some critical strategies for success but I think overall that's done in a simplistic way and without a lot of in-depth explanation or strategies to help the reader improve on those things.

The author explains the mindset of psychology behind being successful and what peak performance is. Having a positive attitude is important along with self discipline to attain your goals. What I found interesting is how to make your own body more effective, even for a business person. It is also very important to stay focused on your goals. At the end of each chapter their are exercises to complete to help with performance, these are very helpful.
