About the Author John Thomas McIntyre was an American novelist who wrote both mainstream and mystery novels . His success as a serious novelist was limited, and to make a living he wrote juvenile fiction, short stories, and mysteries, including a series of four stories featuring Ashton-Kirk, a scientific-minded criminologist. Not a great ending but some good twists and turns during the journey. Impressed enough to read the second in the series.
