About the Author Clint Alley was born and raised in Lawrence County, Tennessee. Several branches of his family have been living in Lawrence County continuously for more than two centuries. He is descended from at least five of the men enumerated in the original 1818 list of voters of Lawrence County. Clint is the admin for the Lawrence County History Trivia page on Facebook. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history, a master’s degree in secondary education and history, and is currently completing a master’s degree in history with a concentration in public history, all from the University of North Alabama. He teaches part-time for Columbia State Community College, is a researcher for the genealogical research firm of Kentucky-Tennessee Research Associates, and is the Digital Archivist of the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library. He is married to Christy, and they have one daughter, Hannah Mae.
