About the Author Jonathan Meader's art has been exhibited internationally. Some is in The National Gallery (internet) and the Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C., and in many other collections. He lived in Lebanon and Morocco as a teenager, and has traveled widely. Meader and his wife, Barbara Demeter, devoted more than a decade to uncovering the long-forgotten sources and meanings of ancient Egyptian symbols. They traveled in Egypt many times, corresponded with leading Egyptologists, and visited major European and American museums looking for clues.Demeter is a successful business consultant in the banking, real estate, and mortgage industries. She is a native San Franciscan, whose uncles helped build the Golden Gate Bridge. Barbara shares her husband's passion for Egypt and travel.

I have always enjoyed Jonathan's art over the years and even used his images on several of my album covers. The new book is beautifully done with meticulous detail. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in Egyptology and symbology.Gary Wright
