I found this to be a very enjoyable read. The first issue of this promising series is full of of interesting ideas. Quite a bit happens in just the first issue, but the events are well explained; leaving many doors open for further storytelling in future issues. What is really impressive, though, is the fact that this is a one-man labor of love. Every aspect of this comic is done by its creator, Gary Huddleston. The art is quite good, and it is obvious that a considerable amount of time went into crafting this comic with an eye for detail. This is an intriguing beginning for a storyline with potentially limitless possibilities. This comic has a very nostalgic feel to it, perfect for fans of earlier comics; while still presenting some unique and original ideas to even this reviewer, a long-time reader of comics. Again, if you enjoy independent comics created by fellow comic lovers, I would urge you to check this out.

The story is well crafted and the art is fantastic. The entirety of the book feels like a throw back to the golden age of comics, Jack Kirby would be proud. As a love letter to the golden age, the story doesn't take you by the hand and explain everything as it's happening. You are thrown into the mix to experience the drama, tension, and even the confusion of the characters in the scene. Reading this book is like being side by side with the characters as they make their discoveries, and as such, you feel a bit of that "ah-ha" moment when things are revealed. If you are an indie comic fan, I highly recommend this book, and I eagerly await future issues.
