By schoolmom1960 This is a very practical book for parents to not simply lecture to their kids, but suggests ways to really help your middle school and high school children understand the world of sex and dating. I especially liked the chapters on setting boundaries and pure sexual dating. Sharing stories not just facts is a great way to connect with anyone and this author seems to have gleaned much from her years of teaching in both public and private schools. I recommend reading this book early and preparing for the tween and teen years before they happen. I wish I had had some of these practical guidelines before now that my child is going off to college, but it is never too late.

I've attended her parent meeting and the information she presents to the audience is spot on if you have middle school or high school age sons or daughters. This book allows you to take the information home, share it with your spouse (if you have one), and process through it during this tough, but very important parenting season. I love how applicable the book is for every day living. Talli tells it like it is but with warmth and encouragement. You should buy this book. You will use it!
