Everything that most reviews have already stated such as redundancies, confusing, etc. I kind of wish "Will to Power" actually killed everyone and the Vortex God did not win. They build up this great man, then when he fines out that they lied to him. He tries to correct the horrible thing his world had done. Even though his methodes were wrong. He still would have won and destroyed the world. Then the story would have ended totally. No need for a back up story. The one that never came out.One thing you do have the keep in mind when you look back at the comic book market at that time super heros were at their peak. I still enjoyed the characters they came up with they were all unique in there own way, with a different way of drawing them. The reason for the open ending was that they did intend to publish the next story. Then the market crashed and the title was canceled.As a cartoonist myself I learned a lot from the book. They created a whole new world all of it's own. Like and other major company has done. That have stood the test of time by creating their own world. I write my comics in the present day in the world we live in like another major company. Either way I am still fighting the big guys and surviving. I was glad that I read the book. The poor reviews helped me get it at a very low cost. You might get something out of it like I did. Exspecially if you dig super heroes the way I do!Theodore Raymond Riddle Creator/Artist/Author

By Kindle Customer When Dark Horse started this back in the day, only a few went on to temporary greatness; X and Ghost being the primaries, with Barb Wire a bit of a second runner. These interwined stories are decent, and run the gamut from excellent (X, Ghost) to just ok (King Tiger). Worth reading and there is some beautiful art.
11 of 17 people found the following review helpful. Two mediocre stories, both incomplete By Kid Kyoto It's hard to go wrong with Dark Horse's Omnibus format. Close to 500 pages of color comics for $25 is one of the best deals around.But somehow this book manages to miss the mark.In the mid 90's Dark Horse decided to launch their own superhero universe with the modest title 'Comic's Greatest World'. They did it in an interesting way, a 16 issue weekly series with each issue introducing a new character but also tying into a larger story. The first half of the book reprints this series. The results are mixed, each chapter has only a few pages to introduce the character, the setting, and tell a bit of the overall story. Some of the characters are fairly interesting and went on to some success, others were terribly generic (a sewer monster named 'Monster' for example) and disappeared.The real problem comes in the middle. The overall story, dealing with a UFO in the desert and aliens hunting it, ends on a cliffhanger that continued in another series called Out of the Vortex. Rather than include the end of the story, Dark Horse chose to try and sum it up in 10 pages of dense text.Then the book reprints another series called 'Will to Power' where a dull Superman homage named Titan goes mad. The story is painfully generic and filled with cameo appearances by heroes from the first series who have no room to make much of an impression.I would recommend the Ghost Omnibus instead. It focuses on one character and has space to tell a story.
