1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Brilliant and Brutal, with no loose change... By 4-Legged Defender "Man did not start the war between Good and Evil. But he WAS the cause..." And so begins another saga revolving around the Watchers, the Fallen, Nephilim, True-Bloods, Half-Breeds and, of course, we humans. I know what you're thinking: great, ANOTHER story regarding Judeo-Christian beliefs about battles between angels, demons et. al. - WRONG. Well, yes, true enough, but this one sits very far apart from any I've read before. It's darker, more vicious, blatantly unholy, disturbing, profane and plays out like a Grindhouse double-bill crossover mash-up of Sin City meets Supernatural. The story starts like you might imagine, but 20 pages in and it starts to ramp up into overdrive; the dialogue is filthy and perverse, the characters are fleshed out or stripped to bone, the intensity quotient burns the meter levels to ash and we're on our way to graphic novel Heaven by way of Hell. No more clichés - we're treated to real characters, horrid evil, sexual deviants, political miscreants and plot devices not in average tales like this. Kudos. Now the even better part - as good as the tale is concerned, the artwork by Simon Bisley (Eisner Award-winning illustrator + artist of 'Batman/Judge Dredd' and 'Lobo', to name a few) is ferocious, feral and fear-invoking. Hyper-real, hyper-violent, hyper-sonic sickness that wouldn't let me put it down until I finished it (much to my wife's chagrin, much to my grin). Immortal sin never felt or looked so good! You NEED this in your collection, so I'm gonna stop writing now so you can hit the 'Buy It Now' button and feel the blistering burn of Brimstone, uber-babes, creepy demons and historical references to our unholy Biblical past.Man, are WE effed-up!5 scorching stars.

The story was great! Loved it, but I'm not to fimilarWith the artist so I'm not sure if he want some of the art work to look the way it did or wht, when I first open the book I was like cool!! This books going to kick ass!! Then a couple pages in it didn't look as cool as I would have hope or got the impression of from the first few pages, but the story is bad ass tho and it made of for the art work for me! So if ur looking for an awesome read! Buy this book!! If ur more of a picture person...U may want to skip this one.. All in all tho cool book
