About the Author Ben Krefta is a manga-style illustrator and graphic artist. His professional career has primarily involved character design using a combination of traditional media and Photoshop. He has delivered digital art demonstrations for clients such as Hitachi and Wacom as well as having produced a number of manga themed instructional books.

The step by step guides were easy to follow they have really helped me with my art. The characters are great and have given me some great ideas and something to aspire to, and the links to show how the artist created them are really interesting. I've had people comment on how my artwork has improved since buying this book so I'll be buying copies for friends for Christmas too. I hope they bring out a sequel!
