I received this early from Rightstuf due to preordering this.I didn't expect to love this series. I never expected such a GREAT ending. Julietta is a GENIUS. This is the ending of the time-travel arc.I have read a LOT of shoujo, but it never hit me in the feels, and I always was annoyed with the heroine. Kamisama Kiss gave me a SMART, SPUNKY, LIKABLE AND ENDEARING protagonist that I wanted to see succeed. And it gave me a love interest that wasn't just the jerk with a heart of gold-he was so much more than that. I adore Nanami, and after seeing the anime-as good as it was-I can honestly say it truly doesn't do the manga much justice. The characters CHANGED and grew and I loved all of them! Even the side characters. I wanted the best for them all, and Nanami did not let anyone trample her. She stood up for herself and kicked butt, which is something rare in shoujo these days:(I never thought the mangaka could pull off such a complex story with ease. And I loved every moment of it. Thankfully, this series is continuing, but it truly felt like a conclusion to the series as we finally learn the secrets as to why Mikage left the shrine, who Nanami is, etc. There's comedy, romance, adventure, action, a PLOT in shoujo!!!! and tons of Japanese mythology. Add in great writing, art and characters, and I was sold. No really I spent too much on this series. BUT THAT's OK! :D

No, it's not the last, but we finally understand the story of Yukiji and Tomoe (and Nanami's involvement). I won't give away any spoilers, but this manga is must have. We finally get the happiness we've been waiting for as readers, and I couldn't be more pleased with how Suzuki has tired everything together in this manga series. If you're thinking of picking up this manga series, don't delay. This is the best manga series since Fruits Basket!

Another brilliant edition of this wonderful series By Kriss I started reading this manga (which I still think of as Kamisama Hajimemashita, I've never been fond of the English title at all, but I understand why they did it) in the form of fan-translated scans in 2009 and have followed the series ever since. You can imagine that I was thrilled when I found out Viz media was going to publish it! I've been buying the volumes every since. In this edition, the time travel arc is wrapped up beautifully with all the little hints of Tomoe's past we saw in earlier volumes being answered for the most part, and the author beautifully works the story to weave together elements of the present with the past. There's a lot happening in this volume! This has been one of my favorite series. I love the artwork, the characters, the setting, the storyline, the mixture of genres is lovely, I especially love all the traditional Japanese images and themes, there's nothing quite like Japanese mythology and folklore to make for an amazing, unique story (at least to us in the west)! It has a very good mix of emotion, drama, action, comedy, romance, and it's kept my attention for over six years! I buy each volume in English as it comes out to show my support for this amazing series and I hope this series will continue for a while!Since this volume is so far up in the series, it's hard to talk about specifics of the story without dragging so much of the other volumes and story into it, but whether you're a returning from-the-start fan like I am who's read all 16 up to this point (and then some; I read fan scans/translations of the monthly magazine release) I recommend continuing to read, because this volume is just as lovely as all the others (if not more so! I've especially loved the later volumes, the story has gotten better and better with each new chapter) and it's worth the investment to own all 17; the mangaka is amazing and is totally deserving of every cent and then some for her beautiful artwork and story! And as for anyone curious about this series and wants to start reading... I recommend it 100%!
