By Michael Dobey Daredevils early adventures feature him in a yellow costume and a interesting super power. Radar senses. He is one of the more interesting marvel characters but his best era wasn't to come until the mid seventies when he became a vigilante and a lot darker character. . Here is a swashbuckler much like the first DAREDEVIL was. (the 1940-54 golden age one) What you do get here is some outstanding art from some truly great artists. First we have BIll Everret and then Joe Orlando. Finally we get Wally Wood. Who creates a nice red devil outfit for our hero. These early issues are very fun and I don't mind the love triangle at all as one reviewer did. And I don't feel the radar senses are overdone. They are just part of who daredevil is. The man without fear would guest star in spiderman with his yellow costume as well in a very early crossover. And his yellow costume would appear in future daredevil stories , so it wasn't completely lost. But this is a cheap way to actually read this early Stan Lee stories and the reproduction looks outstanding as well.
