It is a wonderful oversized cloth bound hardcover to showcase Geoff Darrow's beautiful line art and Dave Stewart's masterful colors. Make no mistake this is one Shaolin Cowboy fight start to finish in painstaking detail. GORY UNRELENTING DARROWISH DETAIL. You dont miss one moment of the entire melee. If you want witty repartee, look elsewhere. This is fight night in the desert with an endless sea of zombies. An interesting experiment of the comic book form. I haven't read a book like this before and I look forward to Mr Darrow's next story.

By City Sasquatch Finally, a collection of this brilliant comic in a format deserving of the beauty of the artwork. Yes, it is one massive fight scene, but in Geof Darrow's hands each page is joy to observe in its layout and execution, and the colors are pretty sweet too! I'm a giant fan of this man's work and this book along with all his other published stuff are prime examples of why he's truly a unique and grotesquely visionary artist! Seen alone storywise may leave some wanting more, but need to read previous part of this epic tale-(available through burleyman, in smaller yet still lovely book), to truly appreciate how this thing is progressing. A great character by a master artist whose work NEVER fails to impress!
1 of 2 people found the following review helpful. A story that makes you think By devidasi Mr. Geof Darrow! Just read the revised hardcover last night. Not sure what the differences/additions were from the original 4-issue series, but holy smokes WOW! It did flow so much better. I began to realize the entire fight scene happened in a very quick, short time span. It was strike after strike that was happening in rapid succession and if it were real life probably only lasted 10-minutes tops. He took them out with such precision and speed. (In the individual, monthly issues you didn't get this sense of time.)And I noticed little things like the below images that gave clues to the deeper message/story happening here.I still don't know if the metaphors/symbols I interpreted were meant to be interpreted the way you did, but it was a highly satisfying story when taken in a material vs. spiritual context. Or even just looking at the overwhelming futility of life and how we fight against it only to meet our inevitable end.Great stuff! Thanks for making a story that made us actually think.
